Kenzo :)

Gorgeous! Still at Paragon, inspired by the beautiful coffee table book that I got as present back in Beijing, I went into the Kenzo store. I was warmly greeted upon entry and browsed the store filled with amazing patterns and daring colors. Everyone in the store was super nice, I even recieved a press packet filled with information that share some details about the store.

My charming coffee table book.

It's the fashion melting-pot of 2010. The heritage of the Kenzo fashion house, the fashion that Kenzo taught us to love. Free from all rules, prints multiply and come together, mixing in complex patchworks. Florals, color blocking, mixtures of fabrics, the application of prints, spots and stripes, graphic features and motifs overlap to create recognisable and iconic silhouettes.

Without aggression or restriction, colors seep into each other over tones of grey, they manifest themselves in prints, jacquard wools, plaid and tartan as well as embroideries and embellishments.

Luxury Surrounds Me

With pictures and clothes speaking for themselves, we can all conclude that luxury surrounds me :) Loves it!!! Here you can see my dream dining room at Sirivannavari Maison.

Classy and elegantly sexy are the dresses at the Versace store. Love all of the dresses, the shoes, everything simply perfect. Would love to throw on one of those dresses and shine at a stylish cocktail party! Anyone looking for a plus one?

Store: Asaya

Soft and undoubtedly serene. So, so beautiful. Not only stylish but it also looks super comfortable.

Store: Code 10

Christmas Spirit

The Christmas spirit was bursting at Paragon. Rather obvious when seeing the decorated golf cart labelled "Christmas Carnvial". Decorated with extra fluff, glitter, and jingles with two silver reindeers leading the way.

This amazing dress was also on display. It was gigantic, even bigger than the naan I ate last night! Caught in an exquisite winter wonderland she bore a beautiful gold evening dress decorated with hundreds of golden bells.

The party was really happening with a full setup of DJ equipment. But it was Christmas music that was blasted all over the shopping mall.

Getting into the spirit of Christmas, I posed with several beautiful presents and packages. Reow, the gorgeous dress I'm wearing was designed by none other than myself. What do you all think? Could I be the next Pucci designer?

Many of you were asking where the dress I wore to Emporium came from, guilty as charged, that was designed and sewn by me :) Gorgeous and perfect for the Bangkok heat.

Japanese

Yum! After some intensive shopping I stopped by Fumi to eat some Japanese. I enjoyed the always delicious vegetable tempura and teriyaki salmon.

I couldn't resist taking this photo of my chopstick holder, super cute! It's a fish!

Here is the master chef working hard, making the rice.

Octopus was available to anyone daring enough to try it. I really wanted to but chickened out last minute :( It looked soooo unbelievably cool though!

Book Shopping

Yesterday was jam packed! I made time to stop by Paragon shopping center to have one last peek at all of the wonderful things available before dashing off on a road trip to the beach for a week. Although I have plenty of books that I have to read, I went looking for something more fun and lighthearted to read while basking in the sun. I found 'The Overnight Socialite' by Bridie Clark and 'Death in the Clouds' by the magnificent mystery writer Agartha Christie. I'm super excited to read them!

Indian Take-Out

Yum!!! This evening I enjoyed what I think was the worlds largest naan from Thailand's best Indian restaurant Rang Mahal. I don't know if it's as obvious in the photo but this bread was gigantic! However, still as delicious as always, if not better.

Reow, I also snacked on the flaming hot papadum bread. It was super spicy but absolutely perfect with its golden tan color and crispy crunch.

The Fiercest Creatures

Forget about leopard, zebra and other African animal prints. It's not their wild patterns on fabrics that's in now, but rather it has become the heads that are trendy for the moment. Or at least so it would seem gathered by the latest displays. I love the mix of the sweet and romantic dress above with the tough, sharp antlers. Such polar opposites working together to create harmony!

Ice Cream Dessert

Yum, after lunch I felt myself craving more deliciousness and stopped by the oriental café for some ice cream. I was especially naughty as I bought two scoops :) Coffee and strawberry. Before you all begin thinking "ewww" I must plead my case by saying that it's a perfect combo! If you don't like coffee though, I would seriously suggest a combo of mint and strawberry ice cream- also another super tasty combo!

Lunch

After a busy first half of the day I stopped by the ever so delicious Greek restaurant Olive for some lunch. Naturally I had the greek salad but also enjoyed some yummy hummus and pita bread. Being the picky eater that I am, I picked out the onions and paprika. But, I must confess that the dressing was to die for. It was soooo delicious and refreshing! It totally hit the spot!

Design

'What is Design?' was the exhibition on display at the Thailand Creative & Design Center. The exhibition was a fusion of several different cultures and their various design marvels. There were so many nice things on display!

This delicate silk robe (2008) was designed by Somchai Kaewthong. It was such a sweet, tender combination of finely shaped flowers and soft, rich fabric.

In the Italian section was this charming vespa. All that was missing was a handsome and dashing young Italian man who could take me on a ride with this enchanting vehicle.

In an ecstasy of tamagotchi toys and other small trinkets that all reminded me of my dear home Tokyo, I found this sharp dress shirt designed by none other then Comme des Garçons. Fabulous! It's so Japanese!

In the British section I fell for this fashionable jeans jacket. Although Vivienne Westwood was and is still renowned as one of the central figures in the Punk Movement and the style revolution of the 1970's I found this jacket filled with a quiet sophistication that was screaming my name.

Drowning in Luxury

Immediately upon walking through the large doors I was greeted by my favorite just out of reach lux stores. Salivating at the sight of the beautiful shop windows I managed to make my rounds through the stores. Chanel's windows were Christmas themed with delicate white paper trees everywhere within sight- perhaps something I should try myself for next Christmas :)

J'adore Dior! Ahhh what beauty, so, so, classy! Who couldn't help but feel like a true princess looking like that? Oh dear fairy god mother where are you? This look would have been totally perfect for Madame Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's don't you all agree?

This adorable scene was at Hermès. I just can't resist those tiny cute tables! Where can I get myself one or two of those, hmmmm? On the topic of love have you noticed the wallpaper in the background? Très chic!!!!

Adventure Land

Boy oh boy have I been busy today! Although enjoying a nice slow morning eating breakfast and updating myself with the latest news, I found myself spending almost the entire day at the shopping center Emporium. I simply couldn't resist stopping to pose by the super cute Christmas decorations outside the mall. I'm guessing that the decorations had a bit of a fantasy/adventure land theme with the Alice in Wonderland rabbit and the gorgeous Cinderella carriage below. I loved it!

Greeting my many dedicated and truly loyal fans was a blast! It's hard not to get carried away when in a carriage lol. It's wonderfully hilarious moments like these that are hard to forget.

Even the inside was tremendously decorated with glitter and lights. Glamfab!

Fish Therapy

After an exhausting and terribly fun day of shopping, I was still feeling adventurous and managed to convince my beautiful sister to try fish therapy with me. Inspired by an episode of Ugly Betty, I figured this would be the perfect way to unwind and come out with some gorgeous feet. Seeing that it was our first time we were both terrified to our cores, not knowing what was going to happen.

Eeeeek!!!!! It took a while but the fish must have been hungry and obligingly ate. The entire time we were bursting with laughter at the tingly sensations caused by the fish. It was truly an experience! :) Gorgeous, there are now two ladies with silky smooth feet!

A Morning in Thailand

Sawadee Ka darlings! I have now arrived in Bangkok, Thailand. Left Beijing last night and am now ready for a day on the town. I seriously love the shopping centers here, so I'll try to take lots of photos :)

This is the view from my hotel with a perfect view of one of the best shopping centers in the near distance. Emporium! That's where I'm heading today.

Ullens

Hello fellow superstars :) Yesterday while out running errands, I made the time to swing by 798 art district. I stopped by Ullens center for contemporary art to see their latest exhibitions. Upon entry there was this gorgeous display of hand-painted lamps by painter and photographer Yang Yong.

There were several more intimate exhibitions on display within the gallery but the one that I enjoyed the most was definitely this one. The Indian artistic duo Thukral & Tagra created this exhibition filled with their signature style of "Punjabi baroque".

Not only did I love the wallpaper, but the furniture was rather fierce too! Perhaps leaning slightly towards the kitschy side with the pink floor and the blue tapestries yet the vibrant combo was completely entrancing.

The Presents Keep Coming

Although it's not yet christmas eve, I have already recieved the vast majority of my presents :) That might sound terrible to those of you who have more traditional ways of celebrating Christmas. Instead of sitting at home singing Christmas carols and drinking hot chocolate I prefer to make my own traditions, celebrating on the beach of some gorgeous resort drinking fruit smoothies and basking under the sun. So, by having celebrated like this for 12 years, I figure why stop now? This winter vacation will be spent in Thailand. Home sweet home. As another one of my presents, I received this increadibly gorgeous lamp from Kartell. It's called a "Bourgie". Baroque inspired with it's elaborate detail but in transparent plastic. Super cool, absolutely love it!!! As you can see I've already cleared a space for it on my desk. It's a perfect fit, so suiting!

Dinner At Pinotage

Hello sweethearts! As the year is finally beginning to wrap up with school and the homework piles decreasing, there has been a bit more time to both sleep and do things that I usually don't have time for during weekdays. Just a few hours ago I enjoyed a scrumptious meal at Lane Bridge's restaurant Pinotage. Even though we are suffering from a hardcore winter, I was still craving salad. Yum, so I indulged myself with chicken salad and some warm rose tea. It's so important to keep warm during these freezing times! Don't want to risk getting sick so close to the Christmas holiday.

Christmas Is Coming

Hello darlings! Yikes it is almost Christmas, who can believe that? It seems winter has hardly begun, yet somehow Christmas is right around the corner. Our beautiful tree has already been decorated to perfection, I absolutely love it! Enjoy the view :)

I have already been present hunting but was caught off guard when I was wonderfully surprised with an early present. I recieved the ever so fabulous Kenzo coffee table book. It's packed with elaborate sketches, pictures from the many runway shows, and even has delicate pop-ups included. What a feast! Thanks a bunch!

Cause for Celebration

Appetizer

Cause for celebration! After a long, hard day at the sewing factory where I intern it was time to whind down the evening by having dinner at the restaurant Salt. Reow! I feasted on some super healthy fish, steamed vegetables and eggplant lasagna. I also decided to jazz up the delicious food with a mango & mint margarita- a total must have!

Yum! My mango & mint margarita :)
