David Is Coming To The V&A !

David, David, marble man, who's the fairest in the land? I'm declaring joy to the world as I found my darling at the Victoria and Albert Museum! I'm so excited because this means it will be a shorter journey for me to see my love. But then again why avoid a trip to Firenze?

Indian Food At Wetherspoon Pub

Yum! It's seriously been forever since I last had some Indian food so I decided to break my dry spell by indulging in some chicken tikka masala. Shame on me, it's also been far too long since my last pub visit! The truth is that the pub culture is an essential social event here in London that it would be too sad if I missed out. It's time for me to get my act together and engage in some truly British pastimes!

The Crypt

Spooky, queue the dramatic music! Although architecturally speaking a crypt is a stone chamber or vault beneath the floor of a burial vault which possible contains coffins, this is not the case at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church by Trafalgar Square. Instead, their crypt is a café and acts as a gathering place where on Wednesdays it turns into a jazz night. Intense atmosphere is all I can say!

National Portrait Gallery - The First Actresses

Stopped by the National Portrait Gallery to see The First Actresses exhibition which turned out to be filled with several absolutely lovely portraits! The exhibiton acted as a sort of continuation of their previous exhibit Glamour of the Gods - Hollywood Portraits, which was on earlier this year. As a compliment was also The Actress Now exhibition which showcases portraits of contemporary actresses from the Gallery's Collection.

Ah the scandals and intrigue that these notorious female performers created whose lives outside of the theatre ranged from royal mistresses to admired writers and businesswomen. Joie de vivre!

Moment One at King's Cross

Party in the house! Earlier this evening I attended Moment One, celebrating the opening of Central Saint Martins new site at the King's Cross Campus. Alumni and industry figures from fashion, art, design, music, literature and performance came together, all in good cheer to mark the occasion.

In the LVMH theatre I met up with the darling milliner Stephen Jones, and fashion designer Hussein Chalayan. Super exciting and what a night! I also caught the launch event of Fab Gear: The Beatles & Fashion by Paolo Hewitt.

Versace for H & M

As most of you probably know yesterday was the launch of Versace's collection for H&M! Drama and so exciting! Rumor has it that people were queuing since the night before in order to guarantee that they get something.

I absolutely loved the green collection! Palm trees and crocodiles bring back so many nice memories spent in lovely sunshine and heat that it's difficult to resist. Freshness!

Awww, as much as I fell for this dress in the japanese-style print, my fabulously muscular shoulders simply couldn't squeeze in. Clearly I'm going to have to stop using the free weights at the gym!

Unlike those customers who stayed up and en garde, I chose to wake up early and head to the stores about an hour before opening. Believe it or not, but it worked! I got an early time slot and managed to reach the goods before everything sold out. As fun as it would have been to purchase each garment, I restrained myself and got the palm tree and crocodile skirt. I will be looking hot come summer time!

Shrek The Musical

As Oscar Wilde once commented "I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being". As it happens, just like Oscar, I am also a theatre fan however, decided to try a musical instead. More specifically I went to see Shrek The Musical which turned out to be shrektacular! It was a bit like watching the movie come to life on stage performed by a terrific cast. The actor who played the character of Lord Farquaad was simply amazing and so hilarious!

The Splendors of Books

Georges Barbier (French, 1882-1932)

J'adore, what more can I say! Fell in absolute love this afternoon when I discovered this book called Poiret written by Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton.

These lovely illustrations were part of French fashion designer Paul Poiret's (1879-1944) work whose contribution to twentieth-century fashion has been likened to Picasso's contributions to art. What amazing lifestyles these images depict, count me in! Feathers, tiaras, and pearls never go out of style!

Georges Lepape (French, 1887-1971)

The London Eye

Darlings, an adventure awaits! As cheesy as you might think I am for wanting to do all of the touristy things while here in London, I refuse to change my wonderful ways. On my to do list the London Eye. It has me a little spooked but hopefully I'll be able to pull myself together for the big day.

Dinner at The Cabin

There's nothing better than an evening out, which involves great company, great entertainment, and yummy food!

Had an early dinner at the restaurant The Cabin, which was super cozy and as the evening progressed filled up really quickly.

Yum, I tried to stay as healthy as possible for the main course as the restaurant specializes in steaks and seafood. As for dessert, I went full on with the chocolate and indulged in a fudge sundae. Words can't describe the chocolate buzz I was on after! It's a must try!

Graffiti Town

Spotted around the streets of London...
Adorable!

Lanvin for Pierre Hermé

Let me begin my mentioning the fact that I LOVE macarons! That's why when I found out that Pierre Hermé, the French pastry chef most famous for his macarons with unusual flavor combinations was pairing up with fashion house Lanvin, I went wild!

Although Hermé may have been dubbed "the picasso of pastry" by French Vogue, I am not so convinced by some of his flavours which have included everything from lemon cream cheese macarons to olive oil and vanilla macarons. However, with Lanvin having designed the boxes, I simply couldn't help but get my share of the fun!

Where can I get one of those macaron cushions from the display to have with my lovely new macaron box? J'adore!

20 Years of Dazed & Confused - Somerset House

Visited Somerset House to catch the 20th anniversary celebratory exhibition of the edgy magazine Dazed & Confused. The legendary style magazine which started in the 90s when rave, grunge and indie fuelled a hypercolor youth explosion which came to inspire the magazine to date. Focusing on topics including music, fashion, film, art, and literature, the October issue's cover boasted "20 Years Of Getting Away With It".

Acting as a celebration for the magazine's renowned controversial and independent approach through a collection of images carefully selected from two decades worth of hard work. The exhibition shows a large selection of work however, I would have liked to have seen more behind the scenes/raw footage from the process that goes on while taking the iconic images featured. The final outcome isn't always the most exciting part but can sometimes be in the process!

Shoes for Show

Nicholas Kirkwood, Alice in Wonderland Heel, 2010

Visited the exhibition Shoes for Show- The Sculptural Art of High Heels in Brick Lane. The showcase displays heels as sculptures which were constructed for their beauty and not necessarily their function.

There were some amazing pieces on display! However, this is only natural when combining an elite sqaud of the world's best footwear designers with the world's leading fashion houses. Reow, that has me excited! The exhibition was really lovely, with fabulous shoes, and lighting that really showcased the heels at the height of their glory. It's such an intriguing thought thinking about the future of shoe design and the numerous directions it can go in.

Fashion's Night Out- Tokyo

Party all night long! It was Fashion's Night Out in Tokyo but more specifically in the Omotesando and Aoyama shopping districts. Boutiques were especially decked out with fabulous displays and fabulous fashionistas on hand to celebrate.

Spotted in the amazing display over at the Prada store: the excentric Vogue Nippon's editor-in-chief Anna Dello Russo! How exciting!

The lovely vintage display at the jeweler Manière de Nojess store in Aoyama. Loving the classic champagne glass and the glitter inside!

Things were looking gorgeous at the Nicolai Bergmann store!

Spotted at 10 Corso Como!

Old Cinema- Antique, Vintage, Retro

While out and about exploring the city, I ran into this fun and quirky store Old Cinema specializing in antique, vintage, retro styles. What may at first glance appear to be a junk yard of mess is in fact a hidden jem. It's a darling store in which I simply must return to as there is nothing that I'm less likely to be able to resist then antique/vintage style trinkets and treasures.

I am absolutely loving the cinema style strobe light! I suppose the reason that I'm attracted stores such as this one is that you get to time travel into other centuries and live out a dream of a different time and world. It also doesn't hurt that it gives you the feeling of being an adventurer by scavaging the many rooms for prizes and pearls.

L.K. Bennett Sample Sale

Oh what a lovely day I have had! Was a bit adventurous and went sample sale hunting, which lead me to the outskirts of London. Such a darling little town I ended up in! Either way it was there that I found the L.K. Bennett Sample Sale which had such great prices that it was difficult to resist leaving empty handed.

Think I found a hidden jem as unlike sample sales which lead to broken fingers and stampeded feet the crowds were rather mellow. Despite the bright pinks and purples that are seen on the garments in the picture above, there were great tailored pieces in more demure colors which could easily have been carried off as Dior if worked correctly. The one downside to sample sales are the petite sizes, however this may also have been due to the fact that I didn't get up bright and early to be the first person bursting through the sale doors. Lesson learned, it requires claws and savy to get the best deals in town! Lucky for me though as I managed to snag a great pair of ridiculously hot suede heels! Success!

London Zoo

[Pyjama Cardinalfish] "Fish in the sea you know how I feel, river running free you know how I feel"- Nina Simone

What fun is there if life is all work and no play? That's why I couldn't resist playing kid for the day by visiting the famous London Zoo to be captivated in oohing and ahhing over cute, fascinating creatures.

What's not to love? There are adorable animals roaming around behind safe fences and safe distances which can sometimes be like travelling to another world. In the desert environment above you may face the uncertain threat of being attacked by an emu or wallabee but, fear not because Indiana Jones may come to your rescue.

It's a quiet escape from city life and brings one slightly closer back to basics, nature.

Made another furry little friend, one which also happens to love a fellow Swed, Pippi Longstocking. How cute is this! This fur ball broke my heart when I couldn't convince it to come home with me in my handbag. Another time perhaps... What a fabulous day!
